At the heart of our church is a community of people. People who are learning to receive and share the love of God through Jesus Christ from a diverse set of backgrounds, ages and experiences.

We want to be a church that equips each other for everyday life following Jesus as members both of our church community and wider area, providing opportunities to grow in faith and serve the community in Southborough around us.

We want to welcome everyone at any stage of faith or life - we welcome many who wouldn’t yet call themselves Christians. Many have found that Christ Church offers a ‘safe-place’ to learn and ask questions.

We look forward to meeting you.

About Nick - our Rector

I have been married to Gillian since 2001 and we have two sons Aidan and Theo.

My last role was as incumbent of the parishes of St Bartholomew's, Maresfield and St James the Less, Nutley, two villages near Uckfield. I served my curacy at All Saints’ in Eastbourne where I was also a part-time University Chaplain after studying for four years at Oak Hill Theological College where I gained a Masters in Theology, writing a dissertation on Ecclesiastes!

Before ordination, I studied French and German at Cambridge and then went on to train and qualify as a Chartered Tax Advisor with Deloitte where I specialised in VAT but not to any headline grabbing companies!

Outside of work and family life, I enjoy a number of pursuits - I have a very eclectic taste in music and films, I'm normally tinkering with some new gadget, have several books on the go at any one time and am still trying to brew the perfect cup of coffee.

Jamie - our Children & Families’ Pastor

Before moving to Tunbridge Wells, I lived with my parents (Jo and Keith) and my brother (Luke) in Chelmsford. My dad is the vicar of Holy Trinity Church Springfield.

I studied at Oak Hill Theological College for 3 years before starting at Christ Church. During my time at Oak Hill, I attended All Souls Church Langham Place and St James Church Muswell Hill.

I am a big Formula 1 fan, so watch the track action as often as I can and have enjoyed attending the British Grand Prix three times over recent years. I also enjoy trips to the cinema, particularly when new Marvel movies are released.
