SUNDAY SCHOOL REOPENING - FAQ

As we reopen our Sunday School, no doubt, you have lots of questions:

What will Sunday School look like with the restrictions in place?

We're hoping if your child has been before it will be very similar to before! If you're new to Sunday School, each session will be a mix of story, prayer, craft, games and chat. It should be fun!

Primary-age children and below will be kept together in their own group (bubble) and any children of secondary school age will have a separate group meeting on different Sundays. There are some things we can't do together, such as singing, anything that requires close proximity to others, consuming food and drink. Children are asked to keep social-distancing rules if at all possible (we appreciate that this is trickier for younger children).

How will you keep everyone safe?

The usual ratios will apply of DBS-cleared adults to children and in line with current government Covid guidance, we will operate strict procedures around:

  • cleanliness of hands, items used in the session and the space used for the session
  • social distancing of children and adults
  • face-coverings (required for children over 11 unless exempt)
  • track and trace registration
  • numbers attending the group
  • nature of the activities to stay in line with the current guidance
  • ventilation of the space
  • pre-booking into the group

How can my child attend?

Just book in to attend church on the Sunday you're coming. You can do that by sending Sue in the office an email or if you join our regular church email database, you'll receive a link to upcoming services on email each week.

Is there anything I need to know before we come?

Please don't bring anything other than 'essential' items to the session - we will provide everything needed for the group.

We will make sure when you come that your child is registered and any health details are correctly recorded on our database.

Please bring a face-covering if needed.

Please don't come / bring your children if any of these apply:

  • you or your children have one or more COVID-19 symptoms
  • a member of your household (including someone in your support bubble or childcare bubble, if you or your child have one) has COVID-19 symptoms or had a positive test
  • you are legally required to quarantine, having recently visited countries outside the common travel area
  • you have had a positive test for Covid
