Coronavirus arrangements - updated February 2022

The current stage of the Roadmap

From February 2022 we have entered a new stage of easing of the Covid restrictions and are fully open for in-person worship and are live streaming our services.

Measures in place at Christ Church

Current measures in place at Christ Church Southborough from February 2022:

  • In line with government guidance masks are not needed in the church building, unless you wish to wear them.
  • Children's work - We are running both JAM (pre-school and primary school) and Pathfinders groups on all Sundays except all-age and check during summer holidays! (1st Sunday of the month).
  • Measures we are adopting to keep each other safe in order to keep church safe, we will:
    • maintain regular cleaning.
    • make sure church is well ventilated.
    • keep our YouTube channel online for those watching at home / self-isolating.
    • maintain special arrangements around the distribution of Holy Communion
  • Things we are asking you to do:
    • sanitise your hands as you enter church.
    • enter the building through the Broom Hill Park Road entrance for contact tracing.
    • provide distance to those feeling nervous.

For those feeling nervous:

  • If you would still like to sit separately, and distanced from others, that is not a problem - please speak to a welcomer and we have seating available for you.

PCC will keep things under regular review and we ask you please to look out for others, especially those who feel differently regarding restrictions.

We are now largely - apart from some of the arrangements around Holy Communion - back to normal services as pre-pandemic.
